Our trustees

The Trustees are elected by the beneficial owners of the Trust. Each Trustee is elected for a term of three years.

Liz Mellish - Chair

Tribal affiliations: Te Atiawa, Taranaki, Ngati Ruanui

Liz is the current Chairman of the Palmerston North Maori Reserve Trust. She was elected a Trustee in 1994. Liz is currently a self-employed contractor. Personal interests include her mokopuna, reading, walking, whitebaiting and gardening. Liz is involved in many sectors as notes her Trustee roles in the Ngahuru Charitable Trust, Wharewaka o Poneke Charitable Trust, Matiu Island Charitable Trust. She is also an adviser to the Lion Foundation, and the M?ori Heritage Council Te Kaunihera Māori o te Pouhere Taonga as well as Director on Wharewaka o Poneke Enterprises Limited, Director on Federation of Maori Authorities, Director on Lux Light Festival, and a Director on Featherston Booktown

Mark Te One

Tribal Affiliation: Te Atiawa, Taranaki.

Mark is currently a cultural advisor with Te Puni Kokiri. He is a Trustee of Wellington Tenths Trust, Wharewaka o Poneke Charitable Trust and Pipitea Marae Charitable Trust. He is also the newly appointed Chairman of Ngahuru Charitable Trust. Mark's personal interest include whanau, sport and music.

Personal Interests: One of my passions is Raranga and I am a proud member of Te Roopu Raranga o Manaia which meets at H?koikoi. I have been involved in community and social service development for the past 25 years.

Community work/Other Involvements: Board member for Coastlands Shopping Town and Alpha Cooperation. Renata Te Manu me Epiha Kararo Ahu Whenua Trust. Trustee, Wellington Creative Communities panel as iwi representative, and Trustee Ngahuru Charitable Trust.
